Incremental by incremental drop... end result is 0.8. It has been an interesting week food wise. Four days of eating over the window, two days eating in the window and one day under the window. Hmmm and I lost 0.8? I think I was fortunate it wasn't a gain!

Not really sure what happened here. I certainly had lots of opportunity to eat well. I think maybe I need to increase my protein. I am looking at this seriously. I am also measuring some of the foods that I tend to figure are less than they are.

This week my big news is that I am now trying out snowshoeing. I am breaking a trail behind my barn. The snow there is about thigh deep so when I snow shoe I am dropping down about mid calf. I managed to only fall once. That is when I really realized how deep the snow is. Pushing with my hands and I was up to my shoulders and there was no 'bottom' to the snow. I floundered around for a few minutes before getting myself vertical again. I am grateful that I have been doing so much work on balance for the past year. It really 'saved' me!

My sister and family and my daughter and family are continue to self-isolate. My daughter has developed a sore throat with a temperature of 99.5F and my grandson is sneezing lots. My sister's difficulty in breathing is no better and no worse than a week ago. Myself, my 89 year old father in law, and my son and his family are all symptom free. I am sure my story is repeated all over the world. Hard times.

Snowshoeing sounds like a great way to burn calories. If I fell over, they'd find me in the Spring. 😁 I've been in solitary confinement for a little over three weeks now and so far no one I know has symptoms. I worry most about my nephew who is a pediatric trauma doctor in Fort Worth and my granddaughter who is an EMT in Fairbanks.

I would be concerned about anyone working on the frontlines in the health care professions. I am glad they are symptom free. Snowshoeing is fun. I missed yesterday because it was -3F with a cold wind. I am hoping to go today provided the weather is a bit nicer. We got lots of snow yesterday so maybe that will make it even more enjoyable. I will be certain of my footing as getting up was quite the rigmarole.
