3600+ calories, little activity yesterday, a whole pizza with 2 bottles of water right before bed, and all I gained was 1/2 pound?? I'm perplexed 🤔

As I finished my Pizza Pizza and gave thanks for Little Caesar's and all our front-line essential restaurant employees last night, I realized something: how funny, I now show the gratitude to my barista the way others have always thanked me as a veteran lol. I never really understood it, but I get it now!

We all do our jobs to help society. Everyone contributes in some way, but to continue to work amidst danger is what earns the respect and honor.

Thank you to all who continue to serve our reclusive society and may the odds be ever in your favor.

I thank you. Being a veteran indicates a sacrifice most of us will never know. I think it is sad that so many of those who are heading away from their homes to work now are the least well paid of our society. The cleaners and fast food makers etc... My two girls need to work or lose their jobs. They are thankful to have them. And they are so very thankful for the thoughtful people who show appreciation even with just a kind word. They are young, but they have coworkers who are twice and three tiems thee age working hard through this time.

We have decided to donate our meals out money to the restaurant staff as tips and not doing the take out part since we're not able to go out together at the moment. Goes directly to our local friends working the front lines on the food circuit. Someone else also reminded me today that hoarding money is almost as bad as hoarding TP in this environment. Don't go crazy, but do what you can to help the little guys out. I'm paying my hairstylist in advance and she'll get to me when she can once the restrictions are lifted. Puts cash in her pocket when she can't work.

Katsolo, that is beautiful! Thank you! My youngest girl works at a hotel near the hospital. She cleans so many rooms for people while they are staying there and not just when they leave. Sometimes she has 20 plus rooms in a day by herself, and most days she will get under five dollars in tips. One day someone left at the front desk 20 for her. She was almost in tears when she told me. Many of the guests aren't rich, and are there only because they are in treatment at the hospital or have family there so she understands. But, it sure means a lot when people show a bit of kindness. 😁

You can always tell someone who's worked in the service industry. I remember the good, and I remember the bad. I try to do what I can including remembering just how stressful it was with bad weather and other things I knew would impact my wages. I'm lucky enough to still be working right now and I'm happy to step up and do my part as best I can.
