Fritzy talked yesterday about burning more calories on your feet than sitting. This time of year I spend more time on my feet....what with decorating the house, shopping, activities with family & friends. And this year, in spite of being tired at the end of the day, I'm lacing up my shoes & taking the afternoon walk with my hubby & the dogs.

Yesterday, I got some outside decorating done. I had been driving/ walking by a couple of bushes at the entrance to our driveway saying we really need to cut them back at the top. They're a mound shaped bush but had developed a peak at the top. So in addition to the Christmas wreaths and some greenery & ribbon for the mail box, I brought the loppers. Only to discover the branches had become too thick to just lop off. Plus they were too tall to reach from the ground, so I had to haul my butt up onto the stone wall behind them to reach. I had to go back for another tool to cut them. I almost said, what the heck, just leave them....but no I was determined to finally tackle them. And, I did! Plus while I had the garden tools up there I pruned the Holly bush that was trying to become a tree 😁After all that I put the garland with lights around the front door, hung the wreath on the door and decorated the porch. It still needs some finishing touches.

Our dogs are getting a bath today. Hubby does that in the shower then I blow them dry. Then I'll tackle some more decorating. Getting close to the finish.
