Had a better week this week. Am settling in to my 20:4. Fasting for 20 hours & eating n a 4 hour window. Or at least as close as I can.
My window to eat is usually between 5 & 9pm. With my dinner at 5pm & a snack at 8.30pm, but last night I was at a meeting & didn't get home until 10.30pm, so I still had my regular snack as if I didn't, my fasting time would then be 24 hrs & I think that would be too long.
I would be tempted to eat during the day.
Yesterday, every time I was in the fridge, I saw a bowl of grapes & was tempted to have one. But I told myself it wasn't 5pm or my time to break my fast & that worked. It has made it easier, when the few times I have felt like eating chocolate, that I say no.
I really really hope that this is going to be the way of eating for me to live with & get back to a normal weight, instead of being morbidly obese.
Today I am going for bloodwork & will see the nurse next Wednesday for my results. I haven't taken my high cholesterol medication since July 4th. I'm hoping losing the 22 lbs that I have, will have made a difference instead of needing meds.
I try to get by most days without any pain meds, but occasionally I take one oxycodone, when my lower back won't settle down by itself.
