Well since I'm still gaining me adding calories isnt working. I'm going to cut calories back down and see if it helps. I'm trying not to go back to 700 a day but not sure what else to do. As of right now I have a 5 lb gain that I need to lose.

How many did you add? I started at 1400 then added a few hundred a week. Meaning some days were 1400 and then I’d throw in a 1600 and a 1500. It’s taken me probably 8-9 months and I’m just now at 1500-1600 daily plus 2-3 days a week at 1800-2000. Too many 2000 and I’ll gain for sure lol. I’ve also upped my activity (3x/week lifting) and I’m at goal weight. So it’s probably a little different for me but you should do okay with a very slow increase. Keep in mind that you’ll gain a few pounds of water at first. It freaked me out but that’s all I ended up keeping was those couple of pounds. It came off eventually but I seem to gain and drop water daily.

@peeperjj thanks for info I may try a couple more weeks and see how it goes before I cut calories. I do hate to go back to very low.

That’s around 1050/week which is 1.5 days of your calories that you were consuming. I might try 50 extra per day if it were me. I had better luck with adding 200 kcal every few days actually but that may be too much with you eating so low. Perhaps someone else would know more. I can only tell you what worked for me :).

@LTHOMP56, you may be seeing *normal fluctuations* in your weight. Besides calories, different body processes (digestion, excretion, fluid retention, etc.) affect the scale number from day to day by as much as two pounds.
