hollywoodoregon's Journal, 05 Jun 19

just returned from a 5 night vacation / trip. i tracked day one but then was at a wedding and did not track for a few days but, i kept things mostly in check and came home with my lowest weigh in yet!!! i definitely thought i would be high due to flying and water weight and eating out much more than usual but i didnt :D YAY!!

it's a great feeling and honestly have changed my eating habits and appetite after 3 months of tracking and watching it, i honestly am not as hungry as i used to be, which is weird but very awesome. i kept loosely to IF while i was away, and really feel used to and comfortable with eating 2 meals a day on average, plus coffee and maybe an ice cream. sometimes i am a little hungry but i am kinda used to that and am definitely okay with getting a little hungry, especially before a big meal and especially before a meal out where i know the calories will be higher than i would make at home.

also, i did meet up with a friend of mine for a few days who also struggles with weight and is overweight on this trip... it was kind of hard because i know she is not very happy with her size but she eats so much... of course i didn't say anything but i feel bad because she will probably continue to gain if she does not adjust her eating habits. it's hard to see someone you care about like that - and i know i used to be that way, too. of course, i am no expert but i think she is definitely not aware of just how much food choices and intake matter - she keeps saying she doesn't have time to work out and seems to glaze over the fact it is literally 80%+ about eating over working out. i haven't lost all that much yet, but maybe when my weight loss is more visible, she will ask me about what i am doing. i just know how how much it sucks to feel big and uncomfortable, so i feel bad for her and i feel bad for my old self too who didnt get it together and under control sooner, and let the weight creep up over the years. everyone is on their own path, i am just very glad and thankful that i am getting ahold of my weight at this time after so so many attempts. i know i can do it this time, and I AM DOING IT.
