Celebrating my husband’s birthday multiple times this week. Drinking, pizza, ice cream, shenanigans. Working out harder is really increasing my appetite like crazy. We’ll see where I’m at next week. I need to think about how many calories I should be averaging now. This is all new territory for me. Scary to switch gears from losing to gaining muscle/maintenance 😳

Agreed. I’ve been doing research, but it’s still scary. I’ve been raising my calories up slowly for a while. But I’m crazy hungry from lifting and resistance training, and been feeling weak. So I jumped up a bit more this week trying to give myself more energy for workouts, and my busy days.

Thanks for your support Rosio. I don’t really need advice so much as I’m just paranoid about changing gears and doing things differently. Just needed to express myself. I’ll figure out what works for me. Definitely know the difference between hunger and feelings, eating more protein, all that good stuff. I do have days I don’t eat a lot of protein, but it’s because my family is in crisis and I think it’s pretty great that I even count calories or workout to be honest.

Working out is so important. Stay hydrated. If you know you are going to face a tempting situation fill up with water first.

@nasticmom yes, water is so important. I drink large cups of water all day long, that’s why I was surprised I was feeling so crummy🤷🏻‍♀️
