Diddlee's Journal, 10 May 19

What... unreal. Had a vacuum sealer machine delivered yesterday, and it did not work. Then had to go through a long procedure to get a RA number to return it. Nightmare seller. Got it returned eventually, but now my sleep monitor say I should take a warm bath before sleep, or do activities that reduces stress.

Thought I had a grip in stress from other sources before in this week, but here I go again with need for more chilling.

Get a large kitchen scale delivered today. Certainly hope that works, otherwise I may be in trouble. lol.

Anyway, will focus on doing whatever I can come up with to chill. See my girlfriend doing Yoga right now. May have to join in. Don't know Yoga at all, but how hard can it be. Chill day ahead. Will start easy.. soothing music.

Hope you found your chill, I’m trying to find some too. Yoga and a warm bath sounds so nice!

I've used a couple of different sealers for food storage but this one became my absolute favorite FoodSaver FSFRSH0051-000 111 NO SIZE White. I got it at Walmart but that cut and paste is from Amazon. It's light, compact, and so much easier than the bulky ones. Plus the bags can be reusable. Hope you got your chill. Yoga will help. Esp the Shavasana.

I like Yoga. Very good for me mentally.

Different kinds of Yoga for different things. If you're looking to destress, I'd recommend trying Yoga Nidra. If you're looking for something to help with rebuilding flexibility and stamina; I'd suggest a Restorative Yoga class. Otherwise if you're looking for just a more peaceful exercise routine, Go For It.

watching your girlfriend do yoga might not calm that heart rate, lol. I've only done yoga on my Wii fit and really enjoyed it.

jeannieselby The Yoga Nidra was an unknown to me. What a wonderful thing that is. Thank you. I just tried it out by listening to the three minute audio file found at the bottom of this page https://www.yogajournal.com/meditation/10-steps-of-yoga-nidra Will now make it a task to do this daily.

How hard can it be lol. I said that too until I fell over a few times. It’s not hard on the muscles I guess but balance can be challenging. At least for the few poses we learned. The stress hormone will make you gain so don’t worry about this. It’ll come down once you calm down :).

mrsroboto The value of stress management became clear when seeing these crazy numbers on the body scale. Management may not be that hard to do. Exploring...

peeperjj Yup, went down 2.2 pounds this morning, after chilling yesterday. Kind of weird. Eat the same everyday, so I know it's not food related. Fun to dip the toe into the pool of Yoga. There's more to it than I thought.

FullaBella Checked it out, and it looks very handy, but couldn't find it easily accessible here. The one I had for a visit vacuum and seal any kind of plastic bag. I might get a working unit from the seller. Will have to wait and see.
