I am trying to follow the GI plan but incorporating some of the Food Combining one too,by separating Carb meals from Protein meals. I just have to find the energy to start exercising, which I know would really help me. I am on Day 5 from not eating chocolate or regular desserts. On Tuesday night I made some GI Basmati Rice Pudding & added either Peaches or Mandarin Oranges/Peaches.
On Thursday for Breakfast I add Orange juice with my meds & 1 hr later had 1 cup cooked Oatmeal with 1 cup (approx) 1% milk. I didn't eat again until around 4.30pm. I had 3 sl grilled Bacon, 2 ggs scrambled, 1/2 Tomato sliced, some Boston lettuce & then I added 3/4 cup of homemade Chili. This was my Protein meal. Allow at least 3 hours between Carb & Protein meals. Around 8.30pm I had bowl of rice with peaches. I have only been drinking water. I'm staying away from Iced Tea at the moment even though it's Crystal Light as I read the Aspertame can make me crave sweets. And I don't want that. There is no chocolate in the house!!
Friday morning was the same as Thursday. I was going to be out in the afternoon for a Therapeutic Massage plus grocery shopping. I took with me in the car, 1/2 sandwich with WW Bread, becel & sliced cucumbers. I was late getting home so we went out for supper. It was Buffet style, so I kept to meat, salads & vegetables for my Protein meal. We watched TV until midnight & then went to bed. I thought about having rice but really wasn't hungry so didn't. Am trying to go to bed earlier in the evenings to try & fix my internal clock. I couldn't sleep so I got up around 3.30am. I weighed myself & saw that I was down again, so although I was hungry, I didn't want to mess with the scale, so I ate a Mandarin Orange. Went back to bed at 5am & after awhile was able to fall asleep.
This morning's weigh in really exciting as I'm in single digits over the 200lbs mark. I haven't been there since March of this year. Unfortunately, I am going to a Baby shower this afternoon & I hope I can ignore the food that will be there.
It's 10am now & I will take my meds with Orange Juice & will wait at least a 1/2 hour after my Fruit before I make my Oatmeal.
