Obsessive Chocaholic's Journal, 31 Jan 19

During the day, I don't seem to have an appetite. I sip on 4ozs of Orange juice, which I don't want to give up, as I enjoy it. Also my hot water or Crystal Light Ice Tea. If I'm hungry, I have either a hard boiled egg or pre cooked sausages I keep bagged in the freezer or a banana, eating only 1/2 at a time. Which is what the GI diet recommends for eating bananas.

Supper I eat, but watch portion of meat. I am typically staying away from bread & potatoes & most root vegetables. The other night I wanted a multigrain bagel toasted with butter. So I had that along with some homemade Turkey broth to balance out the calories & high carb content. A few hours later I had another bagel toasted with butter. Normally, I would have eaten both bagels one after the other, but having them hours apart, helped.
I sometimes have a square of dark chocolate after supper or a Lindt dark chocolate ball. I don't like dark chocolate at all, but they keep my chocolate cravings at bay.
Later in the evening, if I feel like a snack, I might have a small salad with full fat dressing, diet jello with fruit & real whipped cream, berries & cream, or a few mixed nuts. (I'm not much of a nut person)
This seems to be working for me & my goal is to get to 230lbs by March 7 when I have Orthoscopic knee surgery.
Yesterday, for the first time in a over a year & a half, I got into my jeans. They were snug but zippered up. It felt very different to be out of sweats!

If anyone reads this & has supported me in the past, thank you thank you thank you. I just never felt I was trying hard enough to lose weight, to warrant your support. So I very humbly say again, Thank you!!!
