Have you tried going to the doctor. Maybe get thyroid checked?

Try to be kinder to yourself. You are trying and just haven’t figured out what works for you yet. Sounds like you do need to see a doctor or naturopath or nutritionist to help you figure it out together. Hang in there.

I know it’s hard brookie. I know you’ve been working at it. But looking at your food tracking, you’re also eating calories at a level where people usually lose weight. While it might feel like a ton for you, it’s not actually at a level where major weight gain would be expected. I don’t know how tall you are, but unless you’re 4’6” or shorter, you are significantly underweight. For most people with an eating disorder, gaining weight has little to do with eating more (although that’s important too). It’s about addressing the reasons behind the disorder. It’s addressing the mental body perception. It’s addressing how you feel as you gain weight. What messages you tell yourself. And it’s important to have a trusted team to help you. Otherwise, you may have one big meal and then sabotage yourself in other ways. You’ve already spoken about your obsession with exercise. Or maybe it’s limiting in your other meals. Or purging in some other way. It is worth the fight. Recovery is worth it. It can get better. But if you’re not connected to a professional group, you need to be. If it was just a matter of eating more, you’d have done it already. It’s bigger than that. This is long-term work. It’s hard work. But it’s important work. And the payoff is worth it in the end.

It is a long process. Do healthy things and keep on doing them. And keep believing in yourself

Sounds like you need to start putting in liquid calories. Keep eating well, but look for fruit juices, high calorie options. Not general good advice. But in a situation like yours. Picking high calorie low volume options is a good idea. Nuts, nut butter. Fruit juice. Boost up that calorie count without adding to much volume.

Have you tried weight gainer shakes? You can find these at a health store.

That's great Heather - but where's the Haggis recipe? Happy Robbie Burns Day.

I have the same problem. Maybe like me you just have a high metabolism. If you enjoy fish I would suggest adding more to your diet along with nuts. They are filled with healthy fats that will help you. I’m currently doing weight training and seeing some differences :) muscle is heavier than fat so maybe you’d benefit from that too 😊 hope I could help
