FullaBella's Journal, 18 Jan 19

Finally Friday - January 18th

Wow has this ever seemed like a long week but I have no idea why. There’s been nothing spectacular nor tedious (outside of doctors).

If you work in a Doctor’s office, well, I apologize, but are you folks trying to make me insane?

The cardiologist I went to this week also has an app like my general physician (and based on yesterday’s journal we know how that turned out) and they sent me a notice ‘the results of your recent test (an ekg) are available, click ‘here’. Well, I clicked and the results were blank. Zero. Nana. Nothing. So my first reaction was apparently my heart ran off with the other thing that’s been declared absent.

I messaged the office (how convenient is all of this, we never have to actually talk anymore) and the response was ‘the results don’t transcribe to the app correctly. You’re welcome to pick up a copy but there was nothing concerning.’

And my WTF reaction was ‘so what was the point of this?’ I just don’t get it. I understand there are people with very serious health issues and I’m in no way mocking them. Yes, I understand the absurd diagnosis from yesterday is a real diagnosis and very serious for the women who truly have that issue but it’s not me. That is a coding error. If I were inclined to take all of this ‘artificial intelligence’ as gospel I’d have lost what’s left of my mind long ago,

It’s somewhat why I don’t think we the patients really need access to the information because some would take it literally and probably worry. I recall back in the day, in a past life, I did medical records and coding. I remember the first time I saw the diagnosis ‘SOB’ and thought ‘well, that’s not very nice! I don’t care for Mr. Smith all that much myself but geez. (Of course, I later learned It means shortness of breath).

Another failed recipe attempt last night: parmesan roasted cauliflower. Basically cauliflower coated with olive oil, breadcrumbs and cheese and baked until crispy. I never achieved crispy despite wondering if the pan was going to catch fire when the loose breadcrumbs turned way to brown for anyone’s palette. I think I’m finished trying to make tasty snacks with vegetables. Guess I’ll stick to ‘raw’ or steamed.

Go back online and see if the results are there. Might take a few days after everyone sees it before they post it.

I would do cauliflower with the olive oil and maybe garlic...the bread crumbs will burn before the cauliflower is cooked

Hey Bella ... hilarious commentary on your absent lab reports. The nurse at our clinic told me the lab reports were nothing to get upset over as sometimes they alarmed the patient when there was no need. The labs make their own diagnosis and that is what scares the bejesus out of us. I thought the same thing you did ... do we even need to see these if they aren't really correct in the little notes made after each test? According to her, they aren't telling the whole story and totally unnecessary. Yeah ... roast the cauliflower with olive oil or avocado oil and seasoning ... no bread crumbs. You can do the same with cabbage.

On second check ( and tenth) still no update so I believe Draglist called it with bad programming. I'm scheduled for two more other tests so I'll get a copy then just to prove I really have a heart, haha. Thanks everyone.
