1.4 weight gain. I always seem to gain more weight than I lose. It is a bit like the stock market these days, where the losses are bigger than the gains. It is to be expected in this holiday season.

Winter started officially yesterday with heavy rain. How depressing is that? At least it snowed during the night and early morning, so it looks nicer. I hope it is not too icy under the snow.

I have some great news from the doctor's office!
* My hemoglobin is still under the normal range, but closer than the last time (1 point close).
* My HbA1c has gone down one percent; it is at 4.9%. Even though I read online that the HBA1c test is not always reliable, I see this decrease as evidence that cutting out sugar and other carbs has a positive effect on my body.
* My white blood cell count has gone up to the normal range.
* As usual, my blood pressure at the doctor's office was stupidly high. However my doctor is not worried, since she knows the readings at home are good.

Everything is great these days. We will have a shorter day at work on Monday; however it might get pretty hectic on the roads in the afternoon because many people will drive to spend time with their families. This is exactly what I plan to do. It is also my mother's birthday on Christmas Day so I have a small gift ready for her. I plan to stay the course for the holidays -- maybe a bit more wine than usual, but I will avoid the potatoes/bread/rice/pasta. This is very easy to do for me because my downfall tends to be my sweet tooth. I want to make some kind of keto dessert (probably cheesecake) that other people might like.
72.0 kg Lost so far: 6.9 kg.    Still to go: 0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

You seem to doing very well. It is nice to hear that the blood work came out fine. Did you do cholesterol tests as well? Yeah, the scale is not our best friend around this time.

It really depends on how you interpret the result. The good cholesterol tends to go up. LDL may be slightly worse and triglycerides go down. My doctor is pretty happy with my keto cholesterol. But sometimes doctors gets a bit nervous in ldl gets to be too high
