Day 7 - While I went up and down all weekend and seemed to have hit my first plateau, I'm still down about 10 lbs from a week ago. Being as big as I am, 10 lbs doesn't seem like a whole lot, but I still have a whole lot to be proud of. I've exercised every day for at least 30 - 45 min. I didn't get discouraged when the scale went up Sunday morning when I absolutely did my best Saturday to stay on track. I didn't get discouraged 5 minutes into yesterday morning's walk with my dog when I realized that I wasn't wearing my apple watch therefore those magic activity rings wouldn't be complete. I forged ahead, knowing that I would know I finished my 4 miles, whether the rings showed complete or not. I also knew that if I turned around and went home to grab my watch I could easily get distracted and not venture back out into the cold. I've been making conscious choices in the food I'm putting into my body and I'm still eating what I enjoy - for the most part ;)

After the sports banquet last night, I was hungry! There was 3/4 Dijorno Pizza just sitting on the oven calling my name. Normally a no brainer to ask if everyone else ate then finish the rest (no leftover survives mentality), I removed myself from the kitchen, brushed my teeth and went to bed earlier. I knew that I already made hard choices in public at the catered dinner by not eating any pasta or bread and just sticking to the meatballs and salad. I didn't want to ruin it from the temptations at home.

I'm not where I expected to be according to my master weight loss tracker, but I'm right where I need to be, especially knowing that I haven't cheated and I have no one or nothing to blame for this plateau. This too shall pass, and I'll keep living each day the best way I know how and make the small choices when they arise.
