Day 3 overall, but it was my first full on Keto day. Usually breakfast and lunch are easier but once I get home after a long work day and take care last minute errands or picking up kids on the way home then all bets are off. I typically eat whatever lefts overs are available as quickly as possible and crash on the couch. Sometimes it's comforting to get home and realize that you have a few hours of TV time before bed, but when it becomes a habit, like it has for me for the past 6 months, then it's an issue. I find that I can no longer just watch TV and not eat.

I'm ready to break this habit. I'm almost surprised myself that I didn't eat the left over pizza rolls left on the counter from one of the kids' unfinished meals. Usually this wouldn't even be a thought. I stayed true and even made myself a big cup of sleepy time tea in place of a beer or more snacks. Maybe it's the colder weather or the upcoming holiday season, but there's just something about that Celestial Seasonings Sleepy Time Tea bear in his night cap by the fire that is soothing to my soul. It reminds me of Vince Guaraldi piano music from all the old Charlie Brown holiday shorts.

I was excited to get out of bed this morning to jump on the scale because I knew immediately when I woke up that I felt better. The scale proved that it's not just in my head, but when my head is in the right place I can take on this more productive and satisfying lifestyle.

Today is going to be a good day. I'm actually looking forward to the first snowfall tonight.
