1.2 lb gain. One step forward, two steps back for me I guess. I think my portions of meat and vegetables have not increased much, so it must be the nuts (especially macademia this past week!) and the low-carb treats... some with low sugar like Suzie's Good Fats, some with fake sugar (erythritol, monk fruit and maybe a bit of sucralose are my go-to sweeteners - I can't stand stevia, such an awful taste), some salty (such as Moon Cheese - expensive but sooo good!). Bottom line, I have to go easy on the treats and nuts.

My blood pressure is pretty optimal these days. It is anything between 110 and 115 systolic, and maybe the odd 120s once in a while. Also in the 70s diastolic. I have a doctor's appointment next week so I guess my doctor will be happy and won't change my medication. The only thing is I only take my blood pressure in the mornings, because it stresses me out to do it later in the day and I am calmer in the early morning. Basically I create the perfect conditions.

As for my blood sugar, I will have to undergo a blood test in December. I don't want to buy a blood glucose meter because I would need to prick my finger with a lancet and my finger would because either too sensitive or too insensitive and the skin in the area may become too thick. All of this is probably false because many diabetics monitor their blood sugar at home this way. For the moment, I am assuming that my HbA1c is lower and that my upcoming blood test will prove this. Crossing my fingers now...

Weight can jump because of water retention. Yo cannot make 1.2 fat overnight. But I hear you on nuts and treats. I have to watch them a lot.

Water retention has definitely been my enemy.

Yeah I have an iud and low and behold IT showed up out of nowhere yesterday. That explains my sudden exhaustion and bloat. But I’m trying to stick to my diet. I did good today. Did my steps but no extra exercise. I needed a day of rest.
