** STRUGGLING TO LOSE WEIGHT? DRINK MORE WATER! **

It's not just the amount of food that makes you gain or lose weight. Some folks have big drops followed huge eating days. Others find eating less may cause them to stall or even gain.

It's how much of what you eat that can be processed and how much sticks around or goes away.

These are the basic stages:

(1)  CONSUMPTION - what you eat

(2) ABSORPTION - what your body is able to process and use

(3) RETENTION - what is not absorbed and is stored for later use or waiting to be excreted

(4)  ELIMINATION - Waste removal

Water can make all the difference sometimes...

There's a balance. For example, salt may be responsible for some water retention. However, consuming more water is necessary to flush the salt.

Your body has a limit as to how much water it needs and will eliminate the rest. If you took a hydration day and drank lots of water and peed all day long, your system would be running so much more efficiently! But consistency is key because by the next day, you'll need to repeat the process to maintain.

WATER FLUSHES EVERYTHING, makes your organs function with less struggle, allows blood to flow more smoothly, aids in digestion (including assisting in alleviating constipation), ensures all bodily fluids are at proper levels (blood, sweat, mucous, tears, ear wax, saliva, bile, and other digestive fluids, and more), and is your temperature regulator.

Think about your car. You make sure coolant levels are fine when driving on a hot day to make sure it doesn't overheat. But the car always generates heat, so it always needs to have sufficient coolant. Water is among the most important things for your body to "top off all fluid levels" to ensure your body is running at peak performance.

It's not just for hot days though - if you feel dehydrated or even thirsty, that's the equivalent of seeing the temp gauge run into the red zone or getting the CHECK ENGINE light come on in your car! Keep yourself hydrated at ALL times!

DRINK MORE WATER!! A gallon a day would be ideal, but most are afraid of the inconvenience of needing to use the bathroom. Don't sacrifice your health for convenience!

Soooo... Why do I drop after 5k calorie days Chris? 🤔 And this brings up one of my thoughts, if you eat a bunch of processed crap with less nutrition, your body will excrete it quicker and you'll lose weight possibly quicker/easier. You think it would take your body longer to extract those good vitamins and minerals in Real food.. But I'm no Saint.. Or Dr... 😇

My last reg check up was fine (Feb 2018). I was low carb then. Cmp, cbc, thyroid, trigs, and physical all "wnl" ... What was weird was I gained almost 20lbs in a month or so at the beginning of last year. I might have slowed down at the gym, but I don't think anything changed much. Maybe just adjusted my intake or something..

I probably lose when I'm working more because I fast mostly when I work now, and also drink more water..but I've also lost when I'm off for a few days. It's just hard not having any regular schedule..
