A little bit more down. Ounce by ounce. It's why I like daily weighing, although sometimes I go a day or two between.

Tonight is a new-to-me dinner my friend taught me: cubes of tri-tip marinated in Lawry's beef marinade (I did it right in the crock pot) topped with 2 packages of sliced mushrooms. Leave on low all day. Serve over rice or pasta; it makes its own gravy. My friend's husband said it was the best thing he'd ever had and he's married to the world's greatest cook! My hubby is really excited about dinner tonight! It's the little things :)

My husband supports my new WOE 1000% but he wants his treats...Here is our exact text messaging to each other last night:

Me: I'm heading to the store after work. Do you need anything?

Hubby: We're having shrimp and bread for dinner. Pick up a dessert.

Me: Ok.

Hubby: Chocolate cake.

Me: Ok...

Hubby: And beer.

Me: So we're not dieting anymore? LOL.

Hubby: Shock Top

I had salad and bread -- the shrimp didn't appeal to me, but I did eat a little piece of the chocolate cake. It was dry and not worth the calories.

yep that is often the way of it, the dinner sounds awesome. my husband did not mind the flavorful meals I made him when I was cooking keto. he likes to eat lighter these days. odd I tend to eat like a trucker and he is down to only one pork chop or smaller piece of meat.

Ha, ha, I had tech group classes at my cummunity college yesterday. My hubby left a note on the fridg for me. His "pick up list" included, vanilla sandwich cookies, combo vanilla and chocolate sandwich cookies, peanut butter cookies, potato chips, 3 bottles of soda, and a triple steak burger and salt-free fries from Steak 'n Shake. Really?!? Yes, I stopped and got it all for him. Took it ALL into his man cave and told him it was never to leave that room. Can't help but wonder what his blood sugar was this morning. I ate salad, chicken, with a pistachio nut snack last night. He brought me the chocolate half of one cookie (without the filling). I caved and ate it but it was not very good, but it was chocolate.

yes those things don't taste as good any more. I buy my husband his cherry pies and other things he enjoys. I will not change him and would not pressure him on these things. he is trying to watch his weight and he enjoys his fruit pies. the only thing I wish I could get him off of it the vanilla creamer it is so loaded with crap
