Not as much of a drop as expected for day 5 post op. However days 3-5 are supposed to be the most swelling. Woke this morning unable to breathe as the binder was too tight and cutting in. As I’ve went about my morning it’s better but laying down brings back the breathlessness. My allergies/cold is contributing I’m sure. I’m allowed one hour out of the binder every 1-2’days so I’ll probably be taking that hour soon (one quick shower so far and can start regular showers today). I can rinse but they didn’t want me actually washing so that I didn’t disturb the healing or make the discomfort worse I think. How I long for a bath! Another 7-10 days for that if not longer. But I never follow their rules (odd since I’m a stickler for rules) especially on that. Soaking in a clean tub in a hot bath to ease aches and relax can’t be harmful. My incisions are tiny and when small they tend to heal over within a few days.

I’ve been eating more than I planned but not near what my body is asking for. A good test of willpower and a slight weight loss if like last time. Do you know how boring it is being a stay at home Mom who can’t do any lifting or much bending? Housework is supposed to be on hold for another day for light stuff like dusting and another 8 days for things like laundry and 3 weeks for vacuuming. Any bets on how long before I break every one of those? Lol Happy Monday!

Dusting - hahaha! I think your dusting can wait (don't know about the vaccuuming though... hopefully hubby or older kids will help with that)... who dusts regularly??? (Probably normal people...) :D Hope the swelling goes down soon (and the healing continues - that bath is calling!).

Lol dusting is hit or miss for me. No point in it where I’m from. Living on a farm also means that anytime the door or a window is opened a fine layer of dust gets on everything. 3 kids, 2 cats... vacuuming needs to be done lol. It was oldests job but she hasn’t done it for a month. I’ve been doing it here and there as time allows (hubby watches tv or naps 10am-1pm, 5pm-9pm and sleeps from 9pm-4am). He also works from home so I have to do noisy things around his calls. I asked for someone to do it Thursday and it’s yet to me done. However, I think I could do it slowly with my left side. It’s not as swollen and sore. And thanks :). I’m healing up nicely! I’m a firm believer that if you get moving then healing is quicker. As long as you don’t overdo.

Hoping that you heal quickly and get over the cold/allergies. The only thing I dust off are the heavy dumbbells. 😁

Thanks :). Living in Oklahoma allergies are a given. Wind constantly blowing. I’m miserable when the grass count is moderate or above, trees high or very high and weed counts low and above. I know a few as I’ve come in contact with the plants but it’s hard to avoid everything. Also have a dust allergy haha. Dusting makes it worse but as long as I leave the dust alone it doesn’t bother me much. It’s why when I do dust I use a rag soaked in lemon oil most of the time. Feather dusting will have me miserable in half an hour. One kid likes to feather dust and the other will use the vacuum to suck it out of the air. Pretty sure it’s more playing than doing any good ;). Lol I plan to dust off my light ones this week. Dr said 10# 7-10 days post op so 7 would be Wednesday. Was hoping for a long walk but the binder makes it hard to breathe deep and moves around a lot. Moving around without the binder isn’t comfortable either. Better than being all lumpy though! He takes a bit form each side but it’s not actual lipo so there’s no evening things out. The binder is supposed to fill in the few lines he sucked out. At the moment I look like a punching bag haha.
