Keilin_4's Journal, 26 Sep 18

I am going to stop dieting today, I am tired this is my second week with "1500 calories per day" and I did not lose an ounce, I was looking at my historial from a couple of months ago (in my other account) and I reached my 104 lbs without making any sacrifice eating 1700-1800- 2000 calories per day, I know many of you have told me that what I need is to eat more to gain muscle, but I am stubborn, I know.😶
48.3 kg Lost so far: 19.2 kg.    Still to go: 0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

yes but I agree when you want to try something you just need to do it. Lots of people are stubborn and have to do it their way. I know I get that way

It is true! I feel really bad for those who are trying really hard to lose weight and the body simply does not want to lose any pound. 😟😖

I just did not want to die without trying. I feel better now 😁

I am not logging my exercise here , but I have been exercising 5 days a week, 30 minutes in the morning and 30 at night. My bicycle is not working 😞

So you are 106lbs and trying to get to 104lbs? Yeah I think you're doing just fine :) In my mind you already "won", go ahead and have some extra calories, you can handle it :)

Adefwebserver something like that, I know I didn't tried for too long haha , but I was thinking what if I mess up my metabolism when I can be already on maintenance mode?

jenjabba I know haha, I really hope you can get there soon. 🙏

Glad you feel better - that is what is important - enjoy the extra food (and the extra muscle as well!) - hope the bike is fixed soon!

Thank you nikeit 😊, I have been really anxious, and the stress can interfere the weight loss.

PS: In case you are starting your weight loss journey and read this, please do not give up in a week and three days as I did, my case is different, because they say that "I do not have much fat to lose" that must be the reason why my body resists losing more weight, and I did not tried for too long either.

Think it's well known that the last bit is hard to loose. Have been studying bicycle maintenance lately, and immediately felt like 'let me look at that bike'... just to get to practice new knowledge. 😀 I was looking at new bikes for awhile, as mine was crappy. Didn't find a new one I liked, so I have spent a bit of fixing time with my old one. Took it for a first run today, and it ran a lot more smoothly. Upping your food intake will probably give you some more energy. Hope it works out well for you.

I know, maybe I should have given more time, or eat less and that's what I do not want to do, 1500 calories is enough if I eat salads and chicken, oatmeal , but the stress of thinking about: What if the calories are not enough for the week? It makes me want to eat more and only processed food 😒 (the stress is that kills me)

I will have to learn how to fix a bicycle I bet.

Not sure if you're familiar with the Minnesota Starvation Experiment from 1941. Comes to mind, as it plant based on 1540 calories. Found a lot of good bike fix videos on YouTube.

I’m on 700 to 900 calories a day. It’s allowing me to lose steadily, even at my postmenopausal age. Maybe you should give yourself a break from dieting. Good luck with whatever you decide. 💗

If you're working out, you could be retaining water (sweating a lot and not drinking enough) or gaining muscle. It's good at times to take measurements of your body rather than rely on weight only. Good luck.
