Got out the fall / winter clothes - roomy lol. I am still having wicked heart palpitations and nerves twitching. Started about 2 weeks ago. Dr says anxiety ! Even though I feel fine. He wants me to take anti anxiety meds, i don’t want to. Anyone else out there? . Been keto 4 months, beginning to 2nd guess myself.

I don’t trust the Keto diet, but that’s me. I’m a RN, and I have had the conversation with many physicians who feel that it is a dangerous fad. You don’t have to force your body into a starving state to lose weight. It’s actually very hard on the heart and kidneys

Same here, tried it, gained weight instead of loosing. Now i eat what i want in smaller portions. And i am seeing results.

Do you know if you're getting enough Potassium/Magnesium? I had heart palpitations, and in my case I was getting very little of it until I introduced spinach into my diet.

I’m an acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine practitioner and I’m going to agree with Hezz, some people have a negative reaction to keto if you’re on it. If you are concerned and it’s not going away acupuncture can be a viable solution. I’ve seen some dramatic results.

I drink a lot of beef broth to get salt back in my system. Several speakers on the Keto Down Under conference mentioned it. You lose a lot of water on Keto, so you lose the salt. It takes care of the heart palpitations for me.

Thanks everyone for your comments both pro and con , I appreciate them all. Foods for thought for sure. I do have a Dr. On board as I understand that keto is a serious commitment. I think we are narrowed down to needing more fluids, more electrolytes, and B vits. But I’m also thinking to do a more relaxed version adding some amounts of high quality grains and lighter on the fats.

I have been eating ketogenic since May. Electrolytes are super important eating this way. I would suggest one change at a time - example get enough electrolytes daily first so that you know what each individual change does. If you change more than one you won’t know which change was effective (Grains are inflammatory to the body)
