I recently found the meaning of "trek" I had always assumed it was an exciting adventure, like Star Trek! But actually, according to Dictionary.com it means 1. To travel or migrate, especially slowly or with difficulty. 2. In South Africa, to travel by ox wagon. Now I realize I am on my own "Star Trek" plodding along like the faithful ox toward my goal. It is not glamorous. It is not "fun". It does have great rewards though, and I have learned much respect for the plodders of this earth. Indeed, instead of being boring or ugly, the oxen have much to teach us about faithfulness and persistence. Live long and prosper!
