ok, well the weekend I kind of watched what I ate (and drank) YUP I watched it go in & down :-) But seriously I was sort-of good. At least the scale didn't go up dramatically! But I'm kind of in a strange place today, just not really with it. I'm bummed out since I did not go to the 24/7 fitness at all last week and I'm actually thinking of quiting it. Just a pain to either get up super early and go before work or deal with after work when I'm completely drained. But we will see what I ultimately decide this evening I'm going to stop there since I do want to talk with one of the trainers. They have not had any intro into their machines, I know they would if I ask, but seems like when I'm there they are not on duty and I really don't know if I really want to do this. There are super fit young people there and here I am an 64 yr old gray haired out of shape lady not in the best shape. Oh well I'm just bummed. There are other things in my personal life that are getting to me, but I really don't want to get into all that here & now. I'm just tired and would like to go to sleep.

I get being older and not wanting to work out before or after work. I just bought a book called "Strong Women Stay Young" that teaches you how to do simple weight resistance/strength training at home using dumb bells. I've just finished reading through the book and everything looks do-able. Now to dig out my old weights from the garage! Twice a day for 30 minutes. I can do that.

JMA312, I'm also 64 and outta shape, *and* recently stopped coloring my hair. (There's a lot more gray up there than I thought, but that's okay. My philosophy has always been, "It's not 'deterioration.' It's just 'change'!") Even when I was young and fit, i felt like others at the gym were in better shape than I. Keeping to myself and concentrating on my workout works for me. It's all okay! You hang in there!

Oh ugh, I can't edit! It's twice a WEEK for 30 minutes! I'd never make it if it were twice a day!

Either w/o at the gym or get set up at your house..but don't quite..you'll be fitter and happier doing some kind of activity.
