Weight is up. No surprise. I am totally turned around. I am back at work today but feel incredibly 'funky' ... not ill, just out of whack. I did sleep but still feel very tired, a tad anxious, a little depressed ... well you get the picture.

I did exercise this morning, had a decent breakfast and packed a good lunch. I need to call the hospital and see how FIL is doing. Then I'm off to a visit with a 45 minute drive ahead of me to arrive there. I have a pretty full day and feel totally behind.

So ... life goes on. Thanks again for all the hugs, support, encouragement and kind words. I'm hanging in there ... take care!!

I know your down - its a very hard time for you and Bob right now. I think its really good that your at work today and back to your routine - I know it sounds so dumb, but I really think the exercise will help you so much. I'm not even talking about your weight, just your mental balance. I don't want to sound like some $5000 a day Beverly Hills guru (LOL), but keeping yourself alligned with what is is NORMAL for you, is a very healthy, and needed thing. HUGS to you, and I'm always here (and on FB) for you buddy! <3

Glad to hear FIL is more comfortable. I hope you can get in a little YOU time now that things are a bit calmer. I know it is not smooth sailing yet but I hope it will be in short order. [[[[hugss]]]

It is hard to be happy and motivated when you have all these worries surrounding you. Mom is right. Maybe being back to your old routine will help you a little. I hope you get to relax when you come home and keep hanging in there. Hugs

Thanks Info ... just read it!! Time will tell. I spoke to the hospital this morning and FIL was up in the chair (with substantial assistance) for the first time in over 5 days and is now on the nasal canula for oxygen ... no mask. He is very weak. He is also hallucinating again which isn't good. He is NOT on any pain or anxiety meds because they do not want to cloud his cognition. FIL's brother is taking the hospital visiting round today. I'm sure we'll get a report later. I fully intended to be back on track today and walked into my staff meeting to discover FOOD!!! Did I have the self-discipline simply to open my lunch bag and eat what I had brought? NOPE. And then there was cake ... amazing, delicious, CAKE. Good thing I exercised this morning!! I'm afraid I can't use your mantra today ... didn't live up to it at all!!

Glad you exercised too Moose. It pumps up your endorphins. Physical activity helps to bump up the production of your brain's feel-good neurotransmitter, (the endorphins). I know that even if you "eat cake", if you can get in that good ole exercise, you will feel better and might handle all this stress better too. Am thinking of you a lot. Hope things look up for FIL. Keeping you & hubby in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks NN ... I'll be okay ... tomorrow there will be no cake and that is a good thing!! LOL!!! Just lost it today ... it was soooo gooooood!!!

A little cake is not going to hurt you! You went to work, you exercised, you ate reasonably--that is a victory. :)

You took time to exercise and that is great. You'll get back to your routine, one step at the time. Good news about your FIL's physical health, I hope you'll have good news very soon about his hallucinations. Have a peaceful night Moose!
