I saw myself in a mirror today - I look great, thin, unbloated - funny what a good night's sleep will do for you! Doing well with eating - I find the measuring truly helps, and my Costco snacks are all premeasured - ergo I think I am losing weight!
Snow Tuesday night - good 6 inches but no problem getting around. I shoveled so I went to sleep early last night.
My union voted for 7% raises over 3 years, and we will give up 3.62 days this year in furlough (no work no pay). It's nice to have time off, but I'd rather get paid. If we don't get enough people to volunteer to get laid off, then the governor will start laying people off by his choice.
My daughter and I are moving things around and getting settled. We've settled on a good arrangement for our rooms and I think we're really going to enjoy it - the rooms are set up to have 3 rooms in a row for sitting, dining and kitchen, with our pet parrots in a room with a door so that they can go sleepy-sleepy when company comes and stays late. If they aren't closed in they start to scream! I would have moved one of the tables that is now stuck in the middle of the den, except my ex changed the lock on the workshop so I can't borrow his tools - sheesh. Divorce sucks.
