That's IT! I'm tired of feeling bloated and enduring all kinds of allergy symptoms. Been backsliding on my eating program since September. Time to get back on program. Not going to eat anything without logging it on FS. That's the only way I can motivate myself at this point. I held my weight to goal for 5 years. I can do it again.

Were you doing AIP Paleo? It sounds like what I have been doing since February. A Paleo diet with no allergy trigger foods, and no inflammatory foods. So, for me, its Paleo plus these restrictions: No dairy, sweeteners (except stevia and the very rare use of raw local honey), processed foods, starches (except occasional sweet potato), beans/legumes, nuts/seeds, nightshade veggies (eggplant, peppers, tomatoes, white potatoes, okra, etc), soda/juice, dried fruits, hydrogenated oils/fats, and no peas or corn. My diet consists basically of lean chicken & meats, deep sea fatty fish, non-starchy veggies, sweet potatoes, lower glycemic fruits, avocado, coconut, and water, herbal tea, and my seltzer with ACV & lemon juice added to it. If someone wanted to alleviate allergies and inflammation and heal their gut lining / flora bacteria, this diet would be the fastest and the best that I know of. I was told that after 4-6 months, I could reintroduce one food at a time every 2-3 days and watch for any negative reactions. I tried several wheat products- bloated and fatigued. (NO problem with ancient "Einkorn" wheat products tho.) I tried dairy- other than parmigiano reggiano cheese, had the worst inflammation and bogged down feeling! (never knew I had a dairy issue at all!) I tried peas- no problem (yay!). I tried corn- fresh was okay in moderation, but corn meal made me bloated and lethargic, raw almonds- can tolerate them in very small amounts, but my body says it doesn't "want them" if that makes any sense, dried dates- medjool and kadrawi dates seem ok but honey dates are too sweet and give me a headache and then sugar cravings for days. So, long story short; if you are doing AIP, please let me know anything valuable that you have learned, because 5 years is a long time to keep weight off! I'd love to get some tips from a "veteran" even if you need to get back on the wagon!
