I suffer from Chronic pain & due to pain medications & anti-depressants to help with my Fibromyalgia, I spend a lot of time in bed, sleeping. I can go all day without eating, but once I start, I don't stop. I am a very picky, but compulsive chocaholic. I do not eat dark chocolate cake, chocolate ice-cream, hot chocolate or chocolate milk. I only eat Cadburys Dairy Milk 200gm size or Nestle Chunky kitkat of which I can eat up to 12 in one evening. I also enjoy many cakes, pies, cookies etc. I am pretty good at keeping away from the sweet stuff during the day, unless I have started my day with cereal. I only eat Frosted Flakes & Rice Krispies. I will mix these together & eat them with a sliced banana & 1% milk, but instead of using a cereal bowl, I use a serving bowl. I often fill this bowl 2 or 3 times. I find evenings & nights are the worst for me. This is when I relax & watch TV. I sometimes have my cereal at 2am, if I've stayed up late. Six years ago, I tried the GI Diet & I gave up chocolate bars for 19 weeks. I joined a gym & exercised for 2 hrs 3 days a week & on the alternate days, I walked for 1 1/2 hours. Over a 6mth period, I lost 60lbs & I felt & looked so good. I swore to myself that I would never let myself get that heavy again. I gave away all my clothes, which were Size 18-20. At present, I am the heaviest I have ever been in my life at 205lbs. I am only 5ft in height & I am struggling to fasten size 18 again. I should really be wearing size 20, but I do not want to go there. However, as smart as my brain is,& how much information I know in my head will work, I cannot seem to stop the cravings or need for chocolate. I am hoping that someone else can relate & have tips on how to win this battle, for it is a road I have travelled before & know it to be difficult.
