Calories in, calories out, negative number is a weight loss.

So, it is not that easy, of course, but fresh fruits and veggies, and organic meats will get you further into your day than sugar-laden cereals and snack cakes and chips.

One time I tried a Thin Mint diet: 300 calories of Girl Scout thin mint cookies, twice a day, and then a regular dinner at night. Kind of like those shake plans with cookies instead. I was so sick after 3 days, queasy at the thought of more cookies! I did not lose any weight.

Now my food plan is simple: good proteins, non-starchy carbohydrates, no sodas or juices, lots of water. I am eating sauteed this and roasted that and maybe it's the freshness of everything, but just salt and pepper make these veggies taste so good!

I kind of fell off the exercise wagon - not keeping up with my steps as I try to get my house put together for winter as an excuse, not a real reason. Anyway, going for a walk now and then to the gym for physical therapy.

Happy hump day!

Your diet sounds pretty easy to follow, though slightly painful as we enter Autumn harvest season. I could not possibly give up any type of potatoes, or squash, eggplant, corn on the cob, pumpkin, etc. Many of those are loaded with protein and vitamins, not to mention fiber. At least you're allowing fruit!
