I was anticipating a gain this morning but was outstandingly surprised when the Wii told me I had lost - 2.6 pounds!!!!!!!
On Saturday, my mom came over and we made popcorn balls ( the sweetened condensed milk kind), shortbread, a chocolate strawberry cream layer cake with chocolate dipped strawberries on top for my son's birthday, and also a dessert for a church supper. Needless to say, I enjoyed cleaning out the bowls and taste testing. When the church supper was over, there was still a few pieces of my dessert left in my pan, and someone had put in several other kinds for us to take home. They were very tasty and I chowed down my last piece halloween night before bed, actually walking up the stairs to go brush my teeth, I was still swallowing. But when the morning came, I was ready to start again. A co-worker brought me a cookie from the staff room and I said " I am not eating that cookie". And I threw it in the garbage after she left. I also did not eat any leftover Halloween candy or the scrumptious desserts still in the fridge. Turning the page on a calendar is a new beginning for me - I am now back on the road to getting fit and eating sensibly after that gain I had last week.
