Continuing to enjoy the beach at South Padre Island. We've had some beautiful days. We went over to Mexico one day and did some shopping. Bought more for our friend back home (she sent a list) than we did for ourselves. But fun to look at everything. Went to the outlet mall up in the valley and hubby got 2 new pairs of shoes. I was strong and didn't even look at the womens! I did find 4 new tops and a swim suit at a thrift store that supports the local animal shelter. Our son and his wife arrived yesterday and will be spending a week or so with us. YAY!! So we will be going back to Mexico with them. Probably spending a day deep sea fishing. And perhaps a helicopter tour of the island and Port of Brownsville. I'm trying to use portion control with the awesome Mexican food down here because low carb just doesn't happen! I don't have a scale to monitor the damage. Will have to pay the piper when I get home.
