Today's recipe is too fattening: donuts from buttermilk biscuits! They are tasty. I can't have anything else for dinner though! Have you ever done that? Fried up a container of biscuits and powdered them? I used to do it when I was young, like 10, go to the store and then bring home the biscuits and fry them up and eat them! It's a wonder I wasn't heavy as a child, except for the part where I had to walk a mile each way to get them.

Tonight I have parent driver's ed which is now required for me so that my daughter can get her driver's license someday! It will be winter by the time she is eligible to take her test and by then my hubby might not even let her drive if there is snow. Oh, well, better safe than sorry. Besides, the older one wrecked our extra car anyway, so there may not be a vehicle for the younger one to drive.

I just realized that I can go weigh in at a WW meeting on the way to driver's ed - see you later! I definitely have to change my shoes though - I am still wearing my steel-toed boots from work.

I never heard of them. They sound good though..kind of like fried dough which is amazing. Wow they make the parents take a course too? Take those boots off and let us know how you do. Have a good night!

I'm not sure if I made donuts from biscuits, but I sure made plenty of monkey bread from refrigerated biscuits. Yum!!!! Just as fattening, I imagine.

I was just thinking about those the other day. I know how to make them. I could eat the whole can in one sitting. I can't afford to eat like that anymore :(

They sound good to me too!

Each donut I estimate to be 300 calories - plan well if you are going to try them! Ok, really, don't try this at home!

The parent driver ed class sounds like an interesting idea. My husband teaches behind-the-wheel driver training. It is a tough and stressful job. Thanks so much for the advice about washing the vegetables thoroughly. You are so right. I rinse them too quickly. Let's not talk about the biscuits! He-he-he-he! Too yum-yum!
