Smiles.. I think it may have been Nothernmusician who asked for my resuts though not sure, half asleep early this am. LOL Yummy, made a very thin crust, opted for a high protein hard wheat white flour (basically a very fine milled semolina) a bunch of grill roasted veggies, fresh tomatoes and herbs, and a chicken Italian sausage. It turned out good. So much better than the fast food delivery pizza. I should have added a bit of cayenne for punch. I have 1/2 of a pizza left, so stuffed! I'm making bread sticks out of the remaining dough.

Krazycat, sending you a piece, wherever you are. I'm smack in the heartland. Independence MO. Living on the camping ground at the head of the Three trails west and on the walking trail to the Truman presidential Library. I think it's interesting it's on the old campground. MMMMM

I roasted a small eggplant and a small zucchini on the grill and also cooked an additive free italian chicken sausage. Then chopped the pulp of the veggies and the sausage. The crust was water, flour, yeast and salt rolled very thin and lightly brushed with olive oil. Plopped the veggies and sausage on the crust added 2 chopped up large roma tomatoes, some chopped fresh thai basil and fresh oregano. chopped up some thin sliced muenster (mozz or other cheese, muenster is what I had). Cooked on the covered gas grill on med low. I upped the temp, should not have done that as it burned a tad on the bottom. I was going to put grilled onions on as well but forgot them.

I really love the zucchini on the grill and also yellow squash. I grill big pieces because the smaller pieces get flimsy. I brush them with butter so they will brown really good.

Why not pizza? Everything is better on the grill!

Buffy, I keep reading recipes for it and seeing it on food shows, figured I'd try it. I'll do it again, I rarely eat pizza anymore but this was different than the chains with fresh veggies and no sauce. I had the rest for dinner tonite but heated it in the oven. It worked OK.
