Saw a drop this week. YAY!! struggling yet to balance things between 2 "homes". I am home this weekend.

My home is stocked with lots of dried beans, grains, and lots of seasonings and ingredients and lately not much fresh and very short on veggies. I have been buying some meats and cheese at a local butcher shop and deli near my cabin. their products are excellent and if fresh meats they are from local farmers. They will do small packages which fits me perfectly. I bring them home for the week ahead or freeze them in my tiny frig/freezer or once I get home.

It has been a challenging week as January tends to be with my job. My body feeling like it has been fighting some bug so trying for extra sleep and comfort food. I have more energy today. I braved Aldis after work and stocked up on some basics, a few fruits and veggies. I am trying a few new frozen veggie options. Trying tonight frozen Aldi's organic butternut squash. fresh is better but it is not too bad but watery, maybe cooking it differently,

That’s always my issue with frozen, too. Just so much water. I wonder if you can defrost and strain. Way to go with the loss!

Nice loss! Maybe make soup with the frozen squash and purée it?
