When I was 5 years old, I joined English classes for kids. The teacher was from the US and taught things like Apple, Book, Cat and so on. At Christmas time, she baked ginger man cookies. If each answer was right, she gave us 1 cookie for each right answer. So I got 5 of these cookies. I tried a small bite as I was scared because I never imagined ‘Sweet taste of ginger’. We don’t eat sweetened ginger in Japan. However! That was really good for me, but not for other children. LOL My sense of taste for American Foods was born at the moment! LOL
