Today was a rainy day - starting at midnight, I was awakened by rain on the gutters and wood deck. Heavy rain! We have had rain most days this summer. My garden likes it, but not me! Last night was the last straw!

So, today I worked in the rain (I am a construction inspector) because the contractor couldn't afford to take off another day. We were damp, but under an overhang so not soaked. The sun even came out for a couple of minutes! Bleh.

I am cutting out the bread again - man, it really reduces the calories I get! I even had salad dressing (regular, not non-fat) twice today! So we will see how it goes and I think I will cut out potatoes and rice too.

The weight lifting class was great and I am SORE! but the teacher was a really buff lady who is the same age as I am, and I knew her from when our kids were little and we were both scrawny. She bulked up and I got chubby. I am not sure if I am inspired or seriously jealous - probably both!

So, the second chance to go the weight lifting is tomorrow and AC will be there - I think I'll go, because I need the exercise and I got a free gym pass for 7 days to try out this gym.

I am actually really impressed with AC for taking charge and changing her body so much - she looked very muscular. Actually seemed to have some fat too, but that might have been my brain trying to make me feel better!

A helpful tip for me has been to AVOID meat and bread together. I found successful losses when I limited both meat and bread - but ESPECIALLY when I ate the meat WITHOUT the bread - or the bread WITHOUT the meat. Just a thought. Love ya more that White Castle Sliders Baby!

lol! Burger King has the sliders too and a drive thru! That made mornings bad for a couple of days. I decided that if I have potatoes, they will be the main meal and no meat. I saw a video which equated white bread to the main cause of diabetes in this country so I am happy to give it up!
