I am eating too much. I weighed in last night - up 1.6! This is not good. I am joining a gym with my friend Bridget and starting weightlifting. There might be cardio also. Like I said, I can afford to pay, so now I am going to pay someone to kick my butt! Also, I had lunch with my brother yesterday, and he has lost weight. He doesn't have enough money to overeat, so he has been eating very healthy and low calories - lost 20 pounds since Christmas. It was like he had gone through a time machine, his skin was so smooth. At one point I realized that he did not have any wrinkles even though he is 45 already. My conclusion is that: if he can do it, so can I. Now I believe that when I lose my 50 pounds, and pump up my muscles, I will look really great - I am convinced it's genetic!

Your positive attitude and determination will take you a long way in this endeavor. That's great that you see your family member as a positive example for you to follow. You are right. The ability is in your family's genes. You can do it!
