What is with people? I told my mom that my ultimate goal is like 130 - blah blah you look great, you're not as fat as So-and-so, you're not fat! I insisted that I have about 30 pounds I don't need. Her final comment: well you'll never lose that butt no matter how much you lose. Geez like I forgot that I had 39 inch hips 35 pounds ago? Can't find a decent pair of pants to fit cuz my waist has been 10 to 14 inches smaller than my hips for oh, let me think, 50 years. Some people. I think I am afraid I will get "too skinny" which no one has ever said to me my whole life except her. Ate pie at mom's which is throwing off my total for the day but I will pull it back this week.
Cleaned out the fridge and freezer and prepped some good protein. I have recipes for two soups. Tomato leek with kale, and butternut carrot ginger. I will probably saute everything and then add broth on whatever day I have the soup.
My mom is usually great but she's heavy and maybe she just doesn't want me to obsess over my weight. Off to the turkey dinner social that I prepaid but will just pick up take out.

Abbadabba, I use Pacific Foods Chicken Bone Broth No Salt Added. Just a suggestion for soups, cooking. Good luck with Mom, I feel for you. 🤗😉

I would bet that your "heavy" mother doesn't want to go on a diet. Compared to her, you may not look fat, but I find that people's perceptions are pretty distorted. So just turn the discussion around next time and start talking about HER weight and diet. See how fast she changes the topic. 😁

People who are heavy sometimes get jealous when they see you SUCCEED at losing weight. Good idea, food prepping.

Moms sometimes want you to feel good about yourself just as you are rather it’s fat etc. But We know what’s best for our bodies. She probably didn’t mean it to be harmful. Some journeys you need to take alone without getting anyones approval or depending on anyone’s support. Good luck My Dear!
