I'm so sore today. I Had a great skate yesterday on the worlds "longest skating rink". It's close to 10km long (6 miles). I'm definitely not the worlds greatest skater but after I got my "skate legs" back, I had a great skate. The river skating trail goes past the paddling club where my husband and I work our several times a week so a few of the other paddlers all came down and joined in the skate. It was a great day for skating and it felt so "winter" like and fun. I didn't even fall. After that of course, we went back to the club and had a work out. Ahh...it feels good to be tired from a hard days work. Not only that, my weight is starting to drop off finally. That's not nearly as much fun as skating, but it's a good feeling. As for my soreness, it'll pass. Have a great weekend everyone and keep up the good work.

I can envision the skate - good for you for doing it. I'm just too much of a winter wimp to do that - even when we lived in Ottawa I never went on the canal there in the winter. I'm sure it's a fabulous workout. Nice to have the scale cooperating for you! Keep up the good work.

Thanks Draglist and Frankie for the words of support and encouragement . I really appreciate the support. Frankie, I remember the competitionn between Ottawa and our city for the worlds longest skating trail. I think we won our for longest, but I've been on the Rideau Canal in Ottawa and it was amazing with all the people, the warming huts, shops and fun. The year I was there it was so cold I think we were only for a few minutes before I whimped out, but it truly is a wonderful experience.

WOW that sounds wonderful. What a workout. It is warm here. It seems there has been a lot of rescues lately of those doing stupid things on the ice. We've had a mild winter versus the east not so much. Happy you are seeing a drop on the scale. Keep up the good work.
