Confession time. I had a major set back last night. I commute to rehearsal with our sax player. We park at a park and ride lot beside a BK. I had eaten well that morning and lunch but didn't pack my supper and plan ahead. When we got back to the lot I heard BK calling my name. I was in a hurry and hunger so I just ordered a no1 whopper combo because I knew I could get it fast. What the heck was I thinking. All my hard work down the tubes. Well today is atonement day. I am cutting my calories and I hope to do two workouts if I have the energy. I need a kick start or kick in the ass really. No time for guilt eating now. It's time to surge ahead and not go backwards. Arghh human nature sucks.

There is something I heard a while back that stuck in my mind, do not use food as a punishment or reward! Your set back was minor! It was one meals, You can start again fresh with the next meal! Do not beat yourself up, we all have slips up, yesterday i got mcdonalds because i skipped lunch to do groceries, lol. Worst. Do not punish yourself by tryig to work out twice as hard, you will make yourself hate it. Try to challenge yourself instead. I'm not a trainer, but i did loose 90lbs last year. These are the things that worked for my life. ;) Chin-up, the best part about tomorrow, is that you get to start fresh!!!

Thanks Jessica I needed those words of encouragement. I'm off to the grocery store right now to pick up some tofu and beans etc, to try some new recipes my buddy gave me. I am trying high fiber low fat to see if it works for me. I have visited a nutritionist and that is her plan for me. I'm sure BK was not on the plan . LOL

It is not a set back. It happens. Life happens. Just enjoy the burger because it tastes good. Enjoy the food you eat or else you will feel deprived. The hardest thing for me was to learn to not feel guilty over a mistake because when I used to get upset. It would turn into a constant binge. Once you get over that. You can just move on for the next meal. One bad meal won't ruin a whole week of healthy eating. Keep it up and try to better plan for next time.

Thanks Panigale. I love this site because people are so encouraging. I try to encourage others in life as well. I'm no Buddhist but I do believe in some sort of karma.
