Well, I had a great workout on the treadmill today. I was really proud of myself and spent about 8 actual minutes running. This is more than I 've done in years. The only question I had was why my Fitbit doesn't seem to record accurately while holding onto the treadmill. Does anyone else have this problem. After 40 minutes of walk/running at between 4 and 5.5 miles per hr on an incline, I recorded only about 4000 steps and 0 active minutes. Is this possibly due to the fact that I was holding the arm rail (so as not to fall off). Does holding onto the treadmill result in poor fitbit recording of the activity. What are other people's experiences. After all that work, I seemed as though I got nothing done. O well...I know the truth and that's what really matters. Anyway, have a good day and keep up the good effort everyone!

Hi edgw. I attach my fitbit to the laces of my shoes for treadmill work and stationery bike work - because your hands are still it doesn't record your steps. I also record the activity on the fitbit dashboard. hope that helps. Back from vacation myself and back getting my weight down! Hope you are staying warm.

Welcome back. It must have been so wonderful. I'm very impressed how well you did on the cruise. Your husband sounds amazing and so supportive. Keep up the good work. Also, thanks for your support. Somehow I've been turning it around. Let's continue on together.

Yes! I definitely have that problem with Fitbit! And I know it is because I hang onto the treadmill handles and don't swing my arm. So what I do now is hold on with one hand and swing the arm that had the Fitbit on it. I also have that problem when I grocery shop because of hanging onto the cart. Dragnets, I didn't realize you could set the sensitivity level on the Fitbits, I will have go online and check it out.
