This morning I did:
Kaleigh Cohen Strength - LIVE Full Body Dumbbell Workout | 30 min Follow Along at Home Workout
(This was not live by-the-way - apparently she does them live on Saturdays).

Followed by a nice stretch with:
Daniela Suarez - 5 MIN QUICK FULL BODY STRETCHING EXERCISES FOR AFTER WORKOUT | Relax, recover and gain flexibility!

It was a great workout, but I did the standing arm work as alternating. There is much room for improvement in that area!

This was after going for a little walk with hubby to a nearby park and we tried out our new frisbee, which arrived by post yesterday (ordered on Amazon). It's a dream compared to the cheap plastic one we bought a few weeks ago. Don't get me wrong - in South Africa we used a very basic plastic one as well and it was perfect - this one just seems to have a kink in the make-up so keeps veering sideways and ending up on the ground half way to where you aimed it.

The new one is also rubbery so doesn't bash your hands if you catch it funny. We also found a nifty bench to do some push ups and dips on. Two years ago we used to walk and 'trot' around our local rugby field (not many pretty parks where we lived then) and also jogged up and down the stadium stands a few times there. We used to go three times a week in summer. Hoping to start up something similar here so we're scoping out parks and park benches. Back in the day there was a convenient giant truck tyre the rugby players used to use for training that we used for our pushups and dips, but a bench will do nicely.

Before this morning I hadn't been out at all for three days. Meant to go for a walk after dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday, but each time the rain came down and washed my intentions away. Glad we went early this morning, but we might do a little walk in to town later as well to run some errands. I did manage to tick off some things for work in those evenings though - that have been on the backburner for ages so that feels good.

Calories have not been too bad this week, but it seems I'm heading for a gain or maintain again. We'll see what happens tomorrow morning. I know I need to consistently lower my calories to see results so I will try harder these last couple of weeks of May. Will then have to restart in June after the jubilee weekend. We'll be visiting family so I won't track for that long weekend, but want to try to keep at it until we go.

Hope you all have a Thriving Thursday! xxx

I'm not sure where you are now - but you can pick up used truck tires pretty cheap. Flipping tires is also great exercise. You could do a few flips, do some pushups/dips, then flip back the other direction, you get the gist. @Kat, We have a huge frolf course at the county park around the corner here, too.

Thanks Booty! We are lucky to have a few choices for parks - one of the reasons we like it here. I do miss being near the sea though, but we'll hopefully spend some time on the coast this summer. Hope you've had a great week!💕

Lol, Kat! I just looked it up online and there's actually a course near here as well. We were wondering what those strange chain/basket things were for. Might be fun to go and try it once we get a bit more practise in.😁👍

allegra40, we are in england living in a one-bedroomed flat right now. I'm not sure how many people on FS would think of buying a used truck tire so they can flip it in their backyard, and it's not something I'd ever think of as practical advice for someone who does home youtube workouts and is talking about using frisbees and park benches as a fun way to keep active. I am also quite aware that flipping them is how those rugby players used them at the rugby field we went to in SA - so you explaining how I could train with them also feels a bit patronising. We never used them that way because we're not training that hard - we're just a middle-aged couple trying to enjoy being outdoors and getting some exercise. I find your suggestion a bit out of left-field so I'm sorry I felt the need to express my annoyance - it's not meant personally in any way. But, perhaps consider what you're saying and how it could make someone feel. It feels as though you're saying that what I'm doing is not good enough and although I don't need yours or anyone elses approval of what I do, here on FS or anywhere else, and it might have not been your intention - it still affects my mood this morning. I wish you all the best!

Thanks for your useful posts Nikina. Very inspiring and motivating to read. Maybe I missed something but I read it as Allegra just trying to help generally, but maybe not fully up to speed with your exact needs? Maybe someone else reading the conversation might be inspired to try tyre flipping? Anyway, as you say, not ideal for you if you live in a flat and need to take your stuff to the park (or use what's there) to exercise with your partner. I have seen enterprising PT's running bootcamps and "military fitness" classes in parks near me, and they sometimes have tyres and battle ropes etc. so maybe that's another possibility for people who enjoy that stuff? Hope you enjoy your weekend away, and come back strong in June.

Thank you Bearwood! Yes, I agree that Allegra's suggestions might inspire someone else, but I was reacting to her speaking directly to me and I guess my emotions got the better of me this morning and I may have overreacted. I hope what I wrote was not too harsh. I know that her intentions were good.

Hi Nikina. Have a lovely weekend. Hope you have fun with your frisbee. Easier to store than a tractor tyre that’s for sure 🤣 although both great equipment
