This afternoon I did:
JessicaSmithTV - 30-Minute Strength Training for Women | Home Workout for All Levels

Managed about a 50 minute walk today and 45 minutes yesterday too.

Ended up going to a poetry/spoken word thing at a local pub where there was rap, folk and dubstep live acts and some very good poetry last night. Don't think I'd ever been to one before. Such a diversity of ideas and a really lovely escape from the day-to-day that's been getting me down lately so I'll try to go again next month. I also loved that anyone could get up and share their work so there were all sorts of folks and everyone was so respectful and supportive - a really lovely vibe!

Weather's not all good this weekend, but there might be a gap in the rain tomorrow afternoon so hopefully we'll venture out for a bit.

I might weight in tomorrow morning. This morning the scale said 69kg so I'd be happy with that, but I have a feeling it might just be lower tomorrow so I'll enter that if it is. Still need to work on reducing calories, but if I can fit in a small strength workout tomorrow that will be my 3 for the week then I'll feel a bit better about things.

Hope you all have a great weekend! xxx

Hi Nikina, Good luck for tomorrow’s weigh in. I’ve got the heating on full blast 🥶. Seems another cold snap before spring☀️🌸

Poetry slams are usually wonderful!

Thanks Suma! This morning's weigh-in was not that great, but I'll take it. There are some dark grey clouds this morning, but we're hoping for it to clear a bit this afternoon and the temperature's up to 12 then here in the east midlands. Glad you are staying warm though and hope you have a very lovely weekend despite the cold snap. We saw some more daffodils this week and now they make me think of you. Sending you light and sunshine! xxx

Thank you so much for your lovely comment Becca! It felt good to experience something new and it was completely on a whim so it was great that it turned out to be lovely. I've been stuck in such a rut lately, but yes, I feel like there are improvements to my outlook and mood and I hope that will keep going. There are still some dark moments, but I'm grateful for so many things. Hope you are doing well and having a lovely weekend! 💕

Nikina, do you write poetry?
12 Mar 22 by member: yfritz
No I don't yfritz. I feel like you would be great there though! Do you write poetry?
12 Mar 22 by member: Nikina70
No I sure don’t. I do enjoy reading them. Sometimes your journal is quite poetic, its opening (this morning I did), the way you trace your thoughts… that’s why I visit your page.

So sweet of you to say yfritz. Thank you! I appreciate the compliment! Something I heard this week - I can't remember where - that we need to learn to accept compliments and not deflect them as alot of us tend to do. I hope you're doing well! Thank you for stopping by! 🤗❤️ I think I enjoyed poetry in highschool, but haven't really picked up an anthology or anything for a long time, but I think I would enjoy it too.
