Trying to get off the “eggs for breakfast *every*day” habit. I love eggs but … reviews re: cholesterol in eggs are *still* not definitive even after all these years of research, so I want to try to get it down to 3X/week. Today’s breakfast: 1 c split pea soup, 1 slice 12-grain bread, 1/2 each tablespoon hummus and pesto sauce, coffee. Ideas please? 💕

I'm having peanut butter & banana oatmeal & like to mix fruit in with my oatmeal too (sometimes add whey protein powder to make it more fulling). I too need to kick the egg habit, mostly because I add cheese, bacon, toast, butter when I have eggs.

If you like cream of wheat, it’s a nice alternative for breakfast.

I've been reading up on chia seeds & their nutritional value. Sooo, now I'm planning to make some chia seed pudding to switch up my oatmeal breakfasts - try something new and different.

My go to eggless breakfasts are Greek yogurt and berries with a shot of whey powder, and I'm a fiend for toast with cream cheese, avacado, and smoked salmon 🤤 mostly eggs here too though. I see some pretty delicious recipes for overnight oats all the time but I haven't tried to make any yet.

a great breakfast is toast w/peanut butter, jam & sliced bananas.
also cottage cheese w/fruit (I prefer pineapple or cantaloupe) I have even blitzed the cottage cheese with lemon juice & a wee bit of sweetener for a creamier tangy base.

If you are ok with almonds, they are a good way to satiate hunger pangs. Like low sugar Almond cookies from Costco. Another option could be steel cut oats for breakfast. Eggs whites don't have that much cholesterol, but not 100%sure.
