It's a beautiful fall day in my neck of the woods. I took my Acadia in for recall work at 8:30 this morning and at 10:30 they've called to tell me it's ready. I really should walk up there to get it, but I live on a curvy/hilly country road and when I'm driving and I come upon a pedestrian it is a little nerve wracking...I can only imagine how the pedestrians feel - some of them practically dive into the weeds to avoid the cars! So I've decided to wait for them to come and get me and take me to my car.

I have ridden my exercise bike for an hour this morning, and later I want to try out some of the xbox exercises I found last weekend. I should also get lots of housework style exercise because I have all those sheets and blankets to wash from the weekend with family.

I wanted to thank those of you who had such nice comments about my family weekend. I did have to laugh, Dreamcatcher, when you said it reminded you of the Waltons...we are anything BUT that. We just came out of a horrible year for marriages in my immediate family. One son divorced his wife when he found out she was unfaithful (for the third time), and the other separated for 5 months under the strain of a cross country move and new job. We praise God both couples have survived their trials (although the divorce is final for DS#4, he and his wife are back together and as far as they are concerned they are still married - and DS#6 decided his wife cannot handle the strain of being so far from extended family so they moved back to Michigan) and I pray they will continue to find strength and happiness in the future. It was so nice to see everyone together and getting along...there was so much drama for a while...a drama-free weekend was a blessing. And everyone wanting to get together again soon was just the cherry on top!
