While the trip to the Adirondacks mentioned in my last journal entry was incredible (and exactly the change of pace/scenery needed), it was definitely NOT the diet jump start I was hoping for -- but that's okay. While there was a bit of walking about a nature center, and an hour-long hike, there was also two nights worth of bonfires, which obviously means weenies, s'mores and hard cider.

I regret nothing, I'm chalking it up to working on my mental wellness. Back home now, I'm refocusing on calorie-tracking and mindful eating habits. The weather here has also been gorgeous the last few days, allowing for me to get back into the swing of my long walks through our neighborhood (which had been suffering due to extreme heat through quite a bit of August).
