Sorry I’m so late. Any left? That’s amazing looking and I already ate. 

Kat- I ate half and plan on the rest tonight...if you can make it to Iowa before then, it's yours! 

I wish the French knew more about French toasts, it's a forgotten dish over there. My grand mother made some for me once. It's called 'pain perdu', literally wasted bread because you make it to use the hard dry leftover bread instead of throwing it away. Not wasting food is a lost concept these days.

Eral, are you French? I am and we had French Toast all the time! We are Franco-Americans, and used fresh bread. 🙃 Wish I had French cooking lessons, my brother studied it and cooked tons of French dishes. Never been to France or Canada, but had my wonderful grandpa’s memories of it. 😊 

@Shrewdness, born and raised there. I moved here 24 years ago. Still use the French web sites when I try to cook traditional dishes.
