abbadabba's Journal, 02 Aug 21

I am really confused by today's weigh in: 159. I guess I shouldn't be, but I am trying to come to grips with the fact that I have not been below 150 since before 2009. I don't get it. Maybe I need to get back to the 10K steps a day regimen? Cut out bread, pasta, etc.? Holding to 900 calories a day is just not going to make it for me. Had a chance, again, to see myself on a video. 360 degree view. Oh, no. Not good, still. This weight is not a good look for me.
My clothes dryer is still broken. So annoying that I can't get it together to get a new one! Maybe I will do that today.
My assistant didn't show up today. Didn't call or anything. Can't tell you how that has added to some stress around here. Both of my friends whom I called daily are on vacation and unavailable. Just need to vent somewhere!
I am supposed to go away next weekend for a dance week. Now I have to have a covid test before I go, as well as being vaccinated. Oy. I am not feeling good about the camp experience coming up.

Hang in there. I know it’s not easy. ❤️

You must be smaller in stature. I couldn't sustain less than 1400 cals and that was tough at times. 1500 is about the lowest I could go. I'm 5'4". Anyway, hang in there! Fluctuations are always so frustrating and often confounding but they are normal. The biggest challenge is having patience. Hunger is usually satiated with a small increase in protein consumption.

I wasn't able to release the weight until I started eating around 1500cals and cutting out most white foods

Lots of stuff going on. 900 calories seems low, and that coming from me who has trouble consuming 1200 calories a day. Not sure what you are eating and how active you are.. Do you work out? Sorry, lots of questions.. Hang in there though and keep moving forward!

I can't tell how old you are but if you're menopausal like me, the only way is cut out carbs. Starving won't do it. You might be insulin resistant.

Honestly unless you are 4'8 and 80 pounds 900 calories is really too low. You keep your body in starvation mode and it responds by holding whatever it can to help you survive. if you are of a normal size get your calories up to at least 1200. Seriously cutting carbs helped me the most...but not the fruit and veggies, just the pastas and breads. Stop being so hard on yourself and feed your body good whole foods so it knows you aren't starving. Sorry for your tough times but just keep plodding on. It will get better.
