Picked some apricots yesterday. There's still plenty on the tree. I feel like Bubba Gump of apricots! ♡

Hi Shrew! Thank you for thinking of me. 💕 Getting back into the swing of things now that we're back home. We brought back a trailer with a 1951 gas stove, my mother's chest of drawers and 7 old french doors, so my activity for Tuesday was unloading furniture in the rain and yesterday it was balancing on an old ladder while picking apricots. I consider that core training. 😁

I can hear it now...Fresh apricots, apricot jam, apricot jelly, dehydrated apricots, grilled apricots, apricot sauce....

I love old gas stoves I had the coolest one it had two ovens one was large one with small they were stainless steel you could easily pull out piece so you could clean the burners you would pull out or else they were like a mini shelf but unfortunately it over a thousand pounds too hard to move sold with house

Thank you cstrutz and sk! 😊 Ridemariel, I'm planning on a quick bread/muffins and maybe empanadas. I'll make a filling (not too sweet) and freeze it for later use. 😋

They look delicious. Miss being able to pick fruit off trees. Used to eat pounds of ripe fruit we'd just picked off the backyard tree with my friends in the summer.

Ridemariel, I love old stoves too! I'm not currently using one, but plan on building an outdoor/ backyard kitchen and that's where this 1951 Stagered Burner Roper will go. It's black and chrome and oh so pretty. I need to do a bit of work on it. Broiler doesn't work (might be a clogged line) and oven thermostat is off. Your stove sounds beautiful! Too bad you couldn't bring it with you. 😟

LC, thank you! I should edit my entry, as I was eatibg and picking. 😁 When I was in high school, my friend and I would skip school and walk a few miles to a beautiful park in an upscale neighborhood called San Marino. When would take a certain route, so we could pick fruit along the way and not be hungry. 😋
