Route: Mundy Park trails trail walk with my Spaniel pup, Pippa.
Distance: 4.2km at
Time: 1.5 hrs - arrived at park @ 9am - left house @ 8:30am, and stopped at Starbs for a tall nfat latte to go.
Notes:
Temps started at 28 celsius and got up to 35 celsius when we finished. Had Pippa's 12ft leash and 3/4 of a water bottle. Drained the whole canister; need a full one next time!
Near the end, we spotted a mother bear and her black cubs. The bear stayed well back in the lake dunking in the water and playing on some floating logs. Tragically we had to pass nearby to get to the exit and parking lot. Of course, Pippa chooses that moment to lie down on the path and relax for a bit. There were other dog walkers and joggers around, but Pippa refused to move a muscle for some time lol. Scary!!
Now my spaniel is napping sprawled on the stone tiles in my baseent lol.
