I have traveled to a beautiful little city in Texas, just north of Dallas, for a 5 day high school graduation celebration. We are on our own for food except dinner. I found a great breakfast place— fabulous food but the portions are also Texas sized. The BF eats 2/3 and I just do 1/3. Works perfect. The weather has been really decent so able to walk 2-3 miles every morning. Not very hungry at lunch so mostly not eating lunch and then we are all together for dinner that ranges from fast food type pizza (gag) to venison burger (delicious) and Mexican food (delicious but salty) it is what it is but everyone is having a great time.. sadly, obesity seems to be the norm here. The picture is my hotel, a Marriott property, that has lots of green space and sits on the edge of a magnificent 300 mile wooded trail system the winds throughout the city. It was built in such a manner that you can walk, run, bike the trail without ever having to cross a street. The trails pass under the roads. A lot of innovative thought was given to the future as the city’s expansion was planned. Kudos to these people.
